[Pending legal review]
This text is a working draft that a lawyer has not yet reviewed. A reviewed version will be published before launch.
Cookies
The cookies we use
This site uses a very small number of technical cookies: “theme” remembers whether you chose the dark look, “NEXT_LOCALE” remembers the language you picked, “consent” stores your cookie decision and — if you sign in — a session cookie protects your account. None of them is used for advertising or to track you across other sites.
Technical cookies (always on)
These cookies are necessary for the site to work, so they cannot be switched off: they remember your theme and language, store your choice about this notice and, if you sign in, keep your session active (a session cookie that is also HttpOnly: no script can read it). Under AEPD guidance they do not require consent.
Cookieless analytics
We measure which parts of the site get used with cookieless analytics and no personal identifiers (self-hosted Umami). It does not track across sites and shares no data with third parties. [PENDING: the owner's final decision on switching it on in production.]
Guides saved for offline reading
If your browser supports it, the site keeps a copy on your device of the guides you open while signed out, so you can read them without internet. It's only the guide's public text and the files it needs to display properly: it holds nothing about you, is sent to no one and can't be used to track you. A page you see while signed in is never saved. You can delete these copies in your browser's settings, under site data. [PENDING LEGAL REVIEW: confirm this is technical storage exempt from consent.]
Changing your mind
Rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting: use the buttons in the notice you see when you arrive. Your choice never changes what you can read — there is no cookie wall. You can also clear the cookies from your browser at any time.
